# Order Summary

After a customer pays, they land on your thank-you page. The Order Summary shows their order there: the reference, the status, the total and, for bookings, the dates. Customers can add the booking to their calendar, download their documents and print the page.

### What you need

* **CraftForms PRO.**
* A form that takes payments, with its success page set to your thank-you page. The success page is one setting for the whole site, so word the thank-you page so it fits every order (bookings and products). After payment, CraftForms adds the order reference to the address (`?cf_order=…`), and the summary reads it from there.

### Add it to your thank-you page

1. Edit your thank-you page and add the **Order Summary** block.
2. Pick a style in the **Styles** panel: **Default**, **Modern** or **Builderius CSS**.
3. Save the page.

To see real data in the editor, open the block settings and paste an order reference into **Preview Token**.

### What it shows

| Row                              | When                                                                      |
| -------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Order, Status, Total, Order date | Every order |
| Items | Product orders: the item, quantity and the options picked (size, colour…) |
| Check-in, Check-out, Nights      | Bookings by nights                                                        |
| Booking date and Time | Bookings by date or time slot |
| Documents | When PDFs were generated for the order (invoice, voucher, ticket…) |
| Add to calendar | Bookings: a calendar file for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook |
| Print | Always: prints just the summary |

The summary never shows what the customer typed into the form (name, email, phone). Items list only choices, numbers and smart variables that have a Submission label.

#### "Pending" turns into "Paid" on its own

With some payment methods the confirmation from the payment provider arrives a few seconds after the customer is back on your site. The summary then shows **Pending** with "We are confirming your payment", and checks again every few seconds for up to a minute. It switches to **Paid** without a page reload. If it takes longer, it says the customer will get an email when the payment is confirmed.

### On another website (hosted forms, static sites)

When your thank-you page isn't on this WordPress site, paste this where the summary should appear, with your site's address in place of `https://your-site.example`:

```html
<craftforms-order-summary class="is-style-default"
  data-api="https://your-site.example/index.php?rest_route=/craftforms/v1/orders/summary"
  data-assets="https://your-site.example/index.php?rest_route=/craftforms/v1/orders/summary/assets"></craftforms-order-summary>
<script src="https://your-site.example/wp-content/plugins/craftforms/build/webcomponents/embed.js" defer></script>
```

Change `is-style-default` to `is-style-modern` or `is-style-builderius` for the other styles. The texts come in your WordPress site's language.

### Texts and languages

To reword the summary's texts (row names, statuses, buttons, messages) or translate them into another language, go to **CraftForms → Settings → Field Message Translations** → **Order summary (thank-you page)**. Leave a row empty to keep the default.

### Privacy and security

* The order reference in the address is a long random code; only the customer who paid has it.
* The page is never cached, so one customer's order can't be shown to the next.
* The reference isn't passed on to other websites the customer clicks to from the page.
