# Free Initial Setup

## Free initial setup <a href="#free-initial-setup" id="free-initial-setup"></a>

If you have CraftForms PRO, we set up your first product configurators for you, free of charge.

**Choose your situation:**

* [I'm new to CraftForms and don't use Uni CPO](#new-to-craftforms)
* [I'm moving from Uni CPO](#moving-from-uni-cpo)

Then read [What's included](#whats-included).

### New to CraftForms <a href="#new-to-craftforms" id="new-to-craftforms"></a>

#### 1. Send us these <a href="#id-1-send-us-these" id="id-1-send-us-these"></a>

1. **A login to your site.** An Administrator account in WordPress.
2. **Your product list.** Which products customers configure, and which one you'd like us to start with.
3. **The choices for each product.** For example: width, height, fabric, colour, motor. Include the smallest and largest size allowed.
4. **Your prices.** A spreadsheet, a PDF from your supplier, or a description in plain words is fine. For example:

   > Price comes from my size table. Add 2,900 kr for a motor. Add 10% for a custom frame colour.
5. **3–5 example orders with the correct price.** Plain words are fine. For example:

   > Awning 240 × 150 cm, fabric 8204-301, with motor = 12,450 kr

   We use these to check every price before anything goes live.

If you sell many fabrics or colours, also send a spreadsheet with one row per fabric (code, name, collection, price group if any) and the swatch images, named by code.

#### 2. What we do <a href="#id-2-what-we-do" id="id-2-what-we-do"></a>

1. We build your first product and check it against your example orders.
2. You look at it and tell us what to change.
3. We set up the rest of the included products the same way.
4. We show you how to make everyday changes yourself, such as changing a price or adding a fabric.

### Moving from Uni CPO <a href="#moving-from-uni-cpo" id="moving-from-uni-cpo"></a>

CraftForms PRO converts your Uni CPO products automatically. You don't rebuild them by hand, and your current shop keeps working while we do it.

#### 1. Send us these <a href="#id-1-send-us-these-1" id="id-1-send-us-these-1"></a>

1. **A login to your site.** An Administrator account in WordPress. A test (staging) copy of your site is best.
2. **Confirmation that you have a backup** of your site.
3. **Keep Uni CPO switched on.** The migration reads your settings from it.
4. **3–5 example orders with the correct price**, taken from your current product pages. Plain words are fine. For example:

   > Awning 240 × 150 cm, fabric 8204-301, with motor = 12,450 kr

   We use these to check the new prices match your old ones exactly.
5. **Anything you'd like changed.** Moving is a good moment to fix what bothers you about the current setup.

#### 2. What we do <a href="#id-2-what-we-do-1" id="id-2-what-we-do-1"></a>

1. We run the migration. It creates **new copies** of your products and leaves the originals untouched, so your customers see no change yet.
2. We check the first product against your example orders and fix anything the migration couldn't convert. Price tables from Uni CPO's **Matrix** option are one example; we rebuild them from your data.
3. You look at it and tell us what to change.
4. We check the rest of the included products.
5. When you're happy, we switch the new products on and turn Uni CPO off.
6. We show you how to make everyday changes yourself.

### What's included <a href="#whats-included" id="whats-included"></a>

Initial setup is free for CraftForms PRO owners. We want your shop to work well from day one. Here's what the free setup covers:

* **One setup per licence**, on one site, within **60 days** of buying PRO.
* **Up to 3–4 product types.** A product type is one configurator, shared by all similar products. For example, "cassette awnings" counts as one, however many sizes or models you sell.
* **1–2 rounds of changes** after you've seen your first product.
* Help by email, and a video call when it helps.

The free setup doesn't include:

* Custom code, custom design, or features CraftForms doesn't have yet.
* Typing in prices or fabric lists from paper or photos. Please send them as files or text.
* Changes after the setup is finished. By then you'll know how to make them, and our normal support is still there for questions.

Need more than this? Just ask. We're happy to help with larger projects as a paid service.

### Get started <a href="#get-started" id="get-started"></a>

Email <<support@craftformswp.com>> with the subject **Free setup** and the items from your section above. We reply within 2 working days.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kb.craftformswp.com/documentation/free-initial-setup.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
